Baby We're Lost

Melodic beauty at it's finest that sweeps the imagination away.

HAEVN - We Are

Walking through the dark night, Calling out your name. Waiting for an answer: How do we end up here? Tryin' to find a shoreline, With no ground beneath my feet, I miss your hand in mine now. I try to understand. Cold, we are, we are, we are! And cold, we are, we are, we are! And baby we're lost! Come home, With me. And baby we're lost! Come home. Once we were like sunlight: Nothing in between. But now, we share a distance, No shadows at our feet. I'm blinded by desire, No horizon that I see. I feel the cold of raindrops Salted by my tears. Cold, we are, we are, we are! And cold, we are, we are, we are! And baby we're lost! Come home, With me. And baby we're lost! Come home. I will walk until A new day will break, 'Til the hurt wears off, And the storm will fade. We will talk again, Like other friends, And we both will see, That our love has grown. And baby we're lost! Come home, With me. And baby we're lost! Come home. Baby we're lost! Come home, With me. And baby we're lost! Come home.

I will never forget the plume of ash I saw rising into the sky from the enormous explosion that morning from Tukwila, Washington which was 174 miles away.

My supervisor quickly hopped in to his car to help his parents,  who lived in eastern Washington,  with their orchards because of the ash that was falling. He brought everyone back plastic test tubes full of various ash specimens from different areas he collected along the way there.

I visited 8 years later and was surprised to see there were already small pines and other vegetation that had started the natural recovery process in certain areas.

I will never forget traveling through dense, lush forests, only to come upon an area of where all of the trees had been completely mowed down...they looked like giant matchsticks...all of sudden it was very hot in those areas because there was no shade whatsoever.

Be Here Now

This song is dripping in so much beauty that it made me feel shivers raining down all the way from my crown chakra to my toes the very first time I heard it.  When a song moves my soul this much, I just have to share the bliss it brings with others. There can be multiple meanings associated with the mood it imbues, which because of it's appeal to many different situations,  makes it have an extremely dynamic  universal quality to it. If this song's melody doesn't end up speaking to your spirit or heart, then I would say you'll need to have your pulse checked to see if you are still alive.

BE HERE NOW - Ray LaMontagne

Verse 1]
Don't let your mind get weary and confused
Your will be still, don't try
Don't let your heart get heavy child
Inside you there's a strength that lies

[Verse 2]
Don't let your soul get lonely child
It's only time, it will go by
Don't look for love in faces, places
It's in you, that's where you'll find kindness

[Chorus]
Be here now, here now
Be here now, here now

[Verse 3]
Don't lose your faith in me
And I will try not to lose faith in you
Don't put your trust in walls
'Cause walls will only crush you when they fall

[Chorus]

Getting By

Now, going on 2 months of lock down and restrictions, we all need to escape our isolation sanctuaries and what better way to do that than with music! Here are some tunes that have allowed me to escape mentally and spiritually from the day-to-day lack of touch. See if these melodies and lyrics inspire your imagination, as well. Remember, your ears are not imprisoned.
Hang in there and keep safe while abiding by the specified precautions to help protect those that are vulnerable around us from Covid-19 as long as it takes.
Be kind to yourself and others.
