a rare event

…you let go of my hand and now I am adrift at sea…there are sharks out here, there are whales out here, there are plenty of fish to choose from…but not the fishes I love and desire the most…you were too busy to even notice I slipped right through your fingers and got swallowed up by the deep…you never tossed me a lifesaver because you didn’t even see that I was drowning in the first place…I cried out to you several times to please save me with your love, but you never heard me…I couldn’t keep afloat without your effort to keep me breathing…you didn’t swim out to search for and retrieve me…so I tried to keep swimming, keep treading the water…but now,  I have no more will to…you could have so easily revived me but because you didn’t,  the abyss will take me now… and even though I don’t want to go…I just no longer have the strength to stay without that anchor buoy that only you possessed…. because you never offered to show me where it could be discovered…and I could never find it on my own…

last night, an hour after sunset, I went seeking some kind of solace from nature because I could not find any hope in my heart regarding you…it was still 100 degrees out , but there was one of those nice,  constant breezes that I love to feel  so much and hear ruffling through the palm fronds…only cicadas and crickets were singing to each other by that time of the evening…anxiously I gazed in to the NW sky like the sharp sight of an eagle looking for prey…and soon the pretty, twinkling  stars began to illuminate the night sky…I then searched to find  my way by finding  the big dipper…having located it,  I used my binoculars to assist in discovering the wonder…and there it was, the celebrated comet sat just below the familiar array of luminaries  and just above the stoic mountaintops…it was a sight to behold, although not easily seen and small in comparison to the immense night sky…it was a rare event that I got to witness…one that won’t happen again for another 6800 years…I, too, was a rare event that you captured the heart of…and I won’t be seen again by you for another 6800 lifetimes… you didn’t take the time nor effort to show me that you cherished me, appreciated me, but most of all,  loved me…so I will wander and travel in the night sky forever…looking for, but never finding,  that kind of love I felt only with you…eventually stars burn out and disappear…you will search and search and search the night sky, but you’ll never see another star as bright as mine,  again…as bright as sunshine…

I loved you with all of my entire being…you were The One that possessed me completely…everything that I am wanted everything that you are…but…you never showed me what I needed to see…you never took the time nor the effort to show me in several  different ways that you could have that you loved me…you only wanted me to exist on your words, alone…saying it and showing it are two different things, entirely…you didn’t nurture me…and just like a plant without sunshine, water and soil rich in nutrients to sustain it…it dies from neglect…and so do I…

Visual Auditory

Here's a couple of examples of the complicated mix of what it takes to meld the visual with the auditory for live dance-trance-deep-house-techno, etc. shows, nowadays. The future is now. Amazing to me that these two creators have the kinds of minds that envision not only the artistry of their musical craft, but the mechanics behind the visual display that portrays it. I selected Eric Prydz  (aka Pryda) because my Beloved is also an awesome Swede and Zoel Zimmerman (aka Deadmau5) because he's one hell of a genius fellow Capricorn.

Heart Pumping

Ok ENOUGH of the Covid-19/Coronavirus-I-have-been-quarantined-for-4-months mind set! Time to exercise the imagination out of complacency and in to auditory happiness. Some brand new tracks will get your heart pumping and your mind wandering out of the doldrums. These have a  Deep House/Trance  European base quality to them. Some blend an infectious latino spice that brings forth  exciting flavors. Some elicit the feel of  floating via a cosmic connection vibe.  They all naturally create an upbeat and positive atmosphere...perfect for undying hope that is so, so needed in these times. Head over to Anjunadeep on YouTube for more uplifting tracks.

Solace through Sound

Amidst these anxious, uncertain times we are all living in, sometimes it is best just to find the solace within that we all possess first, in order to get through the day. Here's a few tunes that all take a very simple melodic phrase and uniquely embellish it with the complexities of sound in order to bring peace and tranquility in to your soul.

LOS ANGELES - TOTALLY ENORMOUS EXTINCT DINOSAURS

UPROOT - MOTEZ

INFINITE EVERYWHERE - ERIC HILTON

Camouflage

This is how we camouflage cell towers in the Desert. Discreetly hidden from obviousness. But...for some discerning souls....something just happens to capture the eye and leaves the mind feeling that something just isn't quite right with this picture. A lot of effort was taken to make sure that this tower fit neatly within the surroundings and environment, but yet the subconcious knows that this is just a disguise, masking what truly is.

Lay Your Head On Me

I love this video because it simply epitomizes that no matter what country, what culture, what race  or what circumstance of life we come from we are all affected by the Covid-19/Coronavirus in the same manner as all of us are members of  the human beings club. We are alone/together in this endeavor. Enjoy!

You Don't Need Me

Brooding  melodies that contain a twist of angst and melancholy just perfect for Somber Saturday.

Manchester Orchestra - The Silence

Manchester Orchestra-I Know How To Speak

I know how to speak And I know where I'm going I wanted to seek I got distracted It's a mirage One that leaves me embarrassed Cause no one knows me like you You know there's nothing left for you So I continually move Tried to pass it through for ya 'Cause I bore ya The past about pain Is timeless and honest So let go of your shame It's a dead damped blanket It's a facade Back and look at your training There's nobody else like you I think I finally explained it So I continue to move Between the bank and the blanket Don't fake it I, I'm really going to try this time Going to give you my heart in spite of my soul I, I'm really going to try this time Going to give you my heart in spite of my soul I want your name Burnt In my ceiling Floats like a flame An unpredictable wonder You gave it all hope That all the this is a circle There's nobody else like you So many that came before ya This is the moment I choose Between the hope and the hardest To be honest I, I'm really going to try this time Going to give you my heart, in spite of my soul I, I'm really going to try this time Going to give you my heart, in spite of my soul

Baby We're Lost

Melodic beauty at it's finest that sweeps the imagination away.

HAEVN - We Are

Walking through the dark night, Calling out your name. Waiting for an answer: How do we end up here? Tryin' to find a shoreline, With no ground beneath my feet, I miss your hand in mine now. I try to understand. Cold, we are, we are, we are! And cold, we are, we are, we are! And baby we're lost! Come home, With me. And baby we're lost! Come home. Once we were like sunlight: Nothing in between. But now, we share a distance, No shadows at our feet. I'm blinded by desire, No horizon that I see. I feel the cold of raindrops Salted by my tears. Cold, we are, we are, we are! And cold, we are, we are, we are! And baby we're lost! Come home, With me. And baby we're lost! Come home. I will walk until A new day will break, 'Til the hurt wears off, And the storm will fade. We will talk again, Like other friends, And we both will see, That our love has grown. And baby we're lost! Come home, With me. And baby we're lost! Come home. Baby we're lost! Come home, With me. And baby we're lost! Come home.

I will never forget the plume of ash I saw rising into the sky from the enormous explosion that morning from Tukwila, Washington which was 174 miles away.

My supervisor quickly hopped in to his car to help his parents,  who lived in eastern Washington,  with their orchards because of the ash that was falling. He brought everyone back plastic test tubes full of various ash specimens from different areas he collected along the way there.

I visited 8 years later and was surprised to see there were already small pines and other vegetation that had started the natural recovery process in certain areas.

I will never forget traveling through dense, lush forests, only to come upon an area of where all of the trees had been completely mowed down...they looked like giant matchsticks...all of sudden it was very hot in those areas because there was no shade whatsoever.

Be Here Now

This song is dripping in so much beauty that it made me feel shivers raining down all the way from my crown chakra to my toes the very first time I heard it.  When a song moves my soul this much, I just have to share the bliss it brings with others. There can be multiple meanings associated with the mood it imbues, which because of it's appeal to many different situations,  makes it have an extremely dynamic  universal quality to it. If this song's melody doesn't end up speaking to your spirit or heart, then I would say you'll need to have your pulse checked to see if you are still alive.

BE HERE NOW - Ray LaMontagne

Verse 1]
Don't let your mind get weary and confused
Your will be still, don't try
Don't let your heart get heavy child
Inside you there's a strength that lies

[Verse 2]
Don't let your soul get lonely child
It's only time, it will go by
Don't look for love in faces, places
It's in you, that's where you'll find kindness

[Chorus]
Be here now, here now
Be here now, here now

[Verse 3]
Don't lose your faith in me
And I will try not to lose faith in you
Don't put your trust in walls
'Cause walls will only crush you when they fall

[Chorus]

Getting By

Now, going on 2 months of lock down and restrictions, we all need to escape our isolation sanctuaries and what better way to do that than with music! Here are some tunes that have allowed me to escape mentally and spiritually from the day-to-day lack of touch. See if these melodies and lyrics inspire your imagination, as well. Remember, your ears are not imprisoned.
Hang in there and keep safe while abiding by the specified precautions to help protect those that are vulnerable around us from Covid-19 as long as it takes.
Be kind to yourself and others.

We're All In This Together

We're All In This Together - Above & Beyond

Above & Beyond never disappoint and with another fantastic track specifically for the Covid-19/ Coronavirus times we live in, this is no exception. Throughout  this worldwide crisis I am overjoyed to see the goodness of humanity being evident by the coming together on behalf of  each other when we can't actually gather together physically. Even apart we can help one another through this, no matter where we might live in this world.  To all those out there who somehow manage to convey very creative and inventive ideas, in the face of  this pandemic,  to better the lives of others and lessen their adversities because of it, you deserve a place in heaven for thinking enough of others, no matter where they call home,  to share your brilliance.
 Keep safe out there!

Thank goodness I work in essential healthcare! I serve others, but I'm still mindful of  how fortunate I am to be going to work every day with so many out there that cannot right now.

The only thing I would add to this video is to insert a bendable piece of metal for the 'nose piece' of the mask. Believe it or not, the perfect size of a bendable metal strip can be found on a bag of coffee!

Thank you Dr. George Yang...now everyone can be safe! Genius!

Anniversary

This was me 23 years ago...looking straight in to the face of a new world within a world far away from what I had ever known...over the mountains...over the plains...over the ocean...this journey ultimately brought me to who I have become today, in the inner sanctum of my own celestial universe. That which was impossible has become possible...and that which was unattainable is now mine forever to keep. The ironic thing is that I didn't know all this during that time, but I do now. So, back then, that significant journey's sojourn was truly only the beginning of finding the true destination I have discovered within myself today.

Never stop trying for that which you seek.

For Right Now

Starting to go stir-crazy from the isolation from other human forms of contact that the Covid-19 virus has imbued. Needed to mentally escape from my prison home. Maybe you do, too?
Coachella was supposed to be this weekend but it fell in to the pile of non-essential, if not dangerous, activities during this pandemic. Thank goodness for recordings of all types.
Make the best of it and
use these tunes to penetrate, stimulate and motivate.

Sadness Through Sound

We all go through indescribable grief, sadness, loss, despair, loneliness, distress or sorrow at times.  When music reaches out and touches our very soul during these moments, we can release those very deep-seated emotions in a poignant manner, so that our feelings can, once again, soar back in to hopefulness.

The action portrayed here is an example of  'Mars Energy' which many in law enforcement and the military have prominent in their astrological charts...

Bedside Manner

Honestly, this is the most impressive video I have seen today! What a fantastic doctor! When I was a Laboratory Supervisor and headed a 6-man crew...there were 5 on-your-feet stations that I rotated my crew through every week. We, too, would be groovin' and movin' to music that was played throughout the Lab...it was fun and a fantastic mood-lifter from the tedium of day-to-day tasks. You can be a total consummate professional, but still have fun!

Auditory Bliss

Ok,  I admit it. I will spend hours and hours on YouTube perusing all types of music just to find something that so moves me emotionally that I want to jump right out of my skin and just BE the emotion itself that I am listening to. (insert Exhale here) I want it to touch every fiber of my being succinctly in a 'wild abandon' type of way. My heart, my mind, my soul and my spirit all must be engaged and coalesce so that all my senses crescendo at once under the spell of such auditory bliss. Just think 'love on steroids' and that will give you the perfect metaphor for what these beautiful creative musical expressions can do to you holistically. Here is just a small sample of the plethora of choices out there from talented artists from all over the world (or perhaps out of this world, too.) Enjoy the bliss!
